Why would I need a cover letter?

It’s an important tool when you are serious about landing a job. It provides you the opportunity to sell yourself to the employer, explain why you are an ideal candidate and match your qualifications to the. This can help you land an interview!

  • It provides a first impression of you and tells your story.
  • It can be used to assist in explaining a relationship with someone who referred you, share more information about your background, experience and/or location or explain a gap.
What are the risks to not having a proper resume?
  • You do not appear professional and well-organized.
  • Remember first impressions can be lasting impressions.  You greatly reduce your chance of landing an interview if you don’t submit a well put together resume. 
  • You can avoid these risks, by ensuring there is proper spelling and grammar, font sizes and spacing, including your professional achievements (qualifying and quantifying), tailoring your resume to highlight and prioritize your relevant skills and experiences that fit the role.
What are your COVID Policies?
  • We have a comprehensive Covid policy that includes adhering to directives outlined by our Provincial and Canada’s Federal Government and stay up to date on the latest requirements and information from Health Canada.
  • It’s important to note that our clients have Covid policies that require our Consultants / Contractors to provide proof of vaccination whether they are required to work onsite or remotely. Some require self-declaration while others require attestation and to submit proof. We will advise you of what these requirements are when we work with you on your exciting opportunity.
  • We maintain a strong system of preventive measures to protect our employees, consultants, clients and the public and to reduce health and safety risk to an acceptable level. All our staff are required to be fully vaccinated and currently, we work in a hybrid model. This includes working remotely a couple of days per week and onsite for the remainder.

Do I need my own insurance?
  • We have you covered! 10 Percent Recruiting is required to carry insurance for the clients we serve and maintain $5M Commercial General Liability and $5M Errors & Omissions coverage. We do not charge our Consultants / Contractors a fee for this, nor are you & your business required to carry for our contracts.
  • Each Party will maintain its own WCB insurance as reasonably required.
