Position Description

The Data Governance Analyst represents our client’s Data Management practices and assists in ensuring data assets are appropriately governed within the company and facilitates data decisions across departments and the group of companies improving on Data Accuracy, Consistency, Availability and Regulatory Reporting needs.

What You’ll Bring

Assist with ongoing training on Data Governance best practices (including Stewardship) that CWB has established and shared with other departments and staff.
Work with clients to develop, maintain and evolve Data Governance tools to continuously improve the client experience in accessing relevant data information related to customer business pillar.
Actively engage in data discussions and issues that are cross-departmental.
Interact with IS staff and department teams to obtain data blueprint material, including business & technical data definitions, quality metrics and dimensions. Collect all concerns and measures required to support data quality improvements.
Provide data analysis support and expertise to end users and other team members, including review of Data Governance metrics, tracking and reporting parameters.

Mandatories (must have to qualify)

Experience with data analysis, business analysis, master data, and metadata management
A graduate degree in computer science, information systems or related field.
SAS Data Profiler
Experience in data analysis, business analysis and/or other data management disciplines
Experience in Data Governance principles
Experience with master data, metadata management. data quality
Knowledge about data privacy, security, and retention
MS Office (Strong Excel Skills with an emphasis on data analysis)
Experience in tools such as SAS Data Profiler
