Position Description

Our Edmonton-headquartered client is seeking 2 Software Developers to join their team.  Reporting to the Manager Software Development, your primary goal is to deliver high-quality software following defined standards using software development life cycle. In this role you will work within a team environment with other practitioners to understand and participate in business requirements definition, technical designs, development, testing, and implementation and will participate in project and operational activities to meet team, department, and corporate objectives. You must have development experience building software and be adaptable to changes and learning a variety of software technologies.

These permanent roles can be worked remotely for the most part from anywhere in Canada, however, there will be occasional travel to on-site as per designated days.

What You’ll Bring

  • Design and document simple to complex solutions.
  • Translate simple to complex technical designs into high quality code.
  • Analyze and identify solution options to meet simple to complex business needs.
  • Document both Functional Designs (FDD) and Technical Designs (TDD) for simple to complex projects or requests.
  • Understands the full-stack (all the components) of their development environment and possibility train others.
  • Implement unit testing, developer level performance testing and can possibility train others.
  • Handle multiple demands and competing priorities while ensuring deliverables are met.
  • Apply DevOps, Agile/SCRUM and continuous delivery practices.

Mandatories (must have to qualify)

  • Ovation (DK) Development.
  • 2+ years’ hands-on demonstrated experience in a development delivery role.
  • 1+ year hands-on design and development experience in one or more of these products:
    • Ovation (DK) Development, PROBE, WBDK Framework
    • Microsoft Visual Studio .NET Development (C#, VB.NET)
    • SharePoint Development / SiteCore Development
    • SQL Server
  • 1+ year hands-on design and development experience in distributed service-oriented architecture.
  • 1+ year hands-on design and development experience using .NET (C#, Soap, Rest API, serviced
  • Experienced in using web technologies (JavaScript or jQuery, HTML, CSS, IIS / Apache / Tomcat,
    HTML, CSS).
  • Experienced in Code Repository such as GitHub, TFS or Azure DevOps.
  • Skilled in developing, documenting, communicating, and following established software standards.
  • Skilled in the design of reusable components to be leveraged across various applications within your
    team or organization.
  • Post- secondary education in computer technology or IT related discipline from an accredited
  • Although not required, the following experience, education/certificates are valuable assets:
    • Microsoft Certified Solution Developer
    • Microsoft Certified Architect
    • A Layer 7 Development
    • MuleSoft Integration Platform
    • Azure Integration Services
    • Experience with Test Driven Development environment
